Why See Gillian Welch?
A Singular Voice
Gillian Welch has been playing her stripped down, darkly-hued music for over two decades now, and is one of the respected American folk artists alive. Blending bluegrass and Americana, Welch's lyrics deal in revenge and murder, and sound like they've been beamed in straight from the 1930s.
In late June/early July Gillian will be playing cuts from throughout her catalogue, but from July 30th onwards she will be celebrating the release of The Harrow & The Harvest on vinyl by playing the record front to back. Catch her when she plays Atlanta Symphony Hall in Atlanta, GA, Closed August 5, 2017.
