A Tale of Two Cities

A dramatic tale of revolution and status.
Why see A Tale of Two Cities?
Two cities in turmoil, which will you choose?
A new take on the classic Charles Dicken novel has been adapted and reimagined by Grammy-nominated librettist and playwright Brendan Pelsue for the Alliance Theatre this spring. Taking the directorial helm is Alliance regular Leora Morris, who you may know from her work on Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed: The Rock Music Experience and Crossing Delancey among others!
What's it about?
The year is 1787 and a revolution is nigh in the city of Paris. The poor are sinking deeper into poverty whilst the rich benefit from their destitution. Questions are posed, who can you trust? Are you in charge of your own destiny? Can you help repair the unfolding turmoil? A dramatic tale of tragedy and betrayal.
