Incredibly Entertaining

This was a fantastic show — with great acting, singing, stage direction, and music. My only note would be to get rid of the musical number between the mother and t he daughter — it wasn’t necessary to forward the story along and it was not that great of a number. It actually slowed the “angel reveal” when the story needed momentum. It also put the musical over the announced duration. I think it was over by 20 minutes on opening night when we saw it. Also would re-work the scene with the husband and the church deacons. The jokes didn’t land solidly. Otherwise, it was fantastic, and highly recommended. ... Read more
