Lift Off!

Don your spacesuits astronauts, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra are taking us on an intergalactic adventure for the whole family! With a program of music inspired by the cosmos, it's a concert that brings the mystery and majesty to Symphony Hall, perfect for music lovers and aspiring space cadets alike!

The program features the opening fanfare of Richard Strauss' Also sprach Zarathustra, after transporting you to a galaxy far, far away with the Imperial March from Star Wars, conjuring up the ominous imagery of the Death Star looming large over the universe. Meanwhile, selections from E.T., the epic power of Holst's The Planets, and other celestial favorites round off a program full of wonder for the great beyond.
