This spring, musical icon Todd Rundgren will take center stage for What the World Needs Now: The Burt Bacharach Songbook Live in Concert, a tribute celebrating the timeless songs and enduring legacy of Burt Bacharach! Joined by one of The Voice 2021's standout finalists Wendy Moten, the pair are backed by a nine-piece ensemble led by Bacharach's longtime arranger and musical director, Rob Shirakbari. Burt Bacharach has written so many timeless songs it's hard to know where to begin. Together with lyricist Hal David, Bacharach provided the likes of Dusty Springfield and Dionne Warwick with many of their signature hits, and his jazzy, fuglehorn-heavy arrangements became known as the 'Bacharach sound'. Expect to hear many of his classic tunes including 'I Say A Little Prayer', Walk On By', 'The Look of Love', '(They Long to Be) Close To You', 'What's new Pussycat?', and 'Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head.
