Eve Ensler's classic paean to women and their genitalia, is always a bit of a feminist rally: part humor, part outrage. That spirit of celebration and defiance runs through "Los Monlogos de la Vagina," the Spanish-language version of the show

Performed in Spanish, Los Monologos de la Vagina is Eve Ensler's multi-award winning play, exploring a diverse range of female experiences through a series of twelve monologues; some humorous and lighthearted, others utterly harrowing. A moving, charismatic and inspiring view of being a woman, there are many hugely relatable topics covered, such as menstruation, sex and love, as well as some much darker subjects, including non-consensual experiences and genital mutilation.
Written in 1996 and premiered in New York, the play has continued to be considered by many as one of the most important pieces of theater today. The monologues are often updated by the groups performing them to reflect changing attitudes and societal shifts, with new performances happening yearly raising funds for womens' shelters and crisis centers.
