Starring Zanda Svede in her company debut, and special guest performers Gianluca Terranova as Don Jose and Edward Parks as Escamillo, this enduring opera comique has it all - love, passion, obsession, jealousy and tragedy!
Since its debut in Paris in 1875, Carmen has been adored by opera-goers ever since. The story follows the fiery free spirit Carmen, a beautiful gypsy with a the ability to ensnare all men. One such man is naive soldier Don Jose, who gives up his childhood love and deserts his post to be with her. When Carmen tires of Don Jose and sets her sights on the handsome matador Escamillo, the three are drawn into a messy love triangle that can only end in blood...
