Weezer and Pixies

Weezer and Pixies at Lakewood Amphitheatre

Why see Weezer and Pixies?

Rivers and Frank

Rock music today would have been very different without these two. Pixies proved to be one of the most influential outfits of the late 80s and early 90s, their soft/loud song structures, pyschosexual lyrics and lead singer Frank Black's animalistic howls gained them an obsessive cult following. Weezer arrived in all their fully-formed, geeky rock glory with their 1994 self-titled debut, which contained the now-classic tracks 'Buddy Holly' and 'Say it Ain't So'.

More than two decades later, both bands are still going strong, and they've joined forces for this mammoth US tour. Catch them playing cuts old and new when they play near you soon!

Awesome Show!

My favorite nerdy 90's band. They know how to entertain for sure and they are just a great band overall! Even with a technical mishap Rivers Cuomo kept the show going, we sang Stand By Me together. So fun. They rock! I miss the 90's ... Read more

Weezer/Pixies White River Amphitheater

Solid show, have always loved The Pixies. Their newest bass Player I believe is a far step above KD. 1st Weezer show for me, I was impressed. Hits plus some good spins on older songs like Ah Ha, Sabbath, Zombiez, Green Day, Toto. Well done Weezer and Pixies. ... Read more

1st weezer concert

Sleigh Bells opened for Pixies opened for Weezer. I didn't realize Sleigh Bells was even performing until I sat up and saw her jumping around onstage. She's awesome, high energy, but the sound wasn't set up very well. Pixies shortly after, better sound but compared to playing in smaller venues I don't think this show was 100%. This was my third Pixies show and of all three they seem to perform best at Ryman auditorium. Sound setup still seemed off, but that's my only complaint. Great energy, great set list. This was my first Weezer show and holy crap there was no point where I had time to sit down. Plenty of classics, great covers and a mash-up, and an acoustic set performed for the grass seats out of a tiny boat after Cuomo scootered offstage in a captain's hat and jacket. Set design went from happy days themed to garage themed to present day tour replete with pyrotechnics during the final encore (Suzanne). KId friendly, easy parking, plenty to do before. Pricey drinks. ... Read more
